Brazilian Oberon Coffee
A delicious blend of three different Brazilian coffee beans. Made by the cleverest coffee people on Earth (the Brazilians, not us)
If Brazilians know about one thing, it is, of course, football. But if they know about another then it is definitely coffee. The greatest coffee-growers in the world have put together Oberon, a 100 percent Cerrado expert blend. The result is that you can enjoy a consistently fabulous cup of coffee every day.
Oberon is a delicious coffee in the classic Brazilian style. It has a full body, sweet chocolate and citric flavours, and a medium acidity. Naturally, in coffee descriptions “acidity” means that dry, bright, perhaps even sparkling sensation that a really great coffee has. Of course it doesn’t means anything that will hurt your tummy! In fact your tummy, and your wallet, will love this great value Brazilian coffee.
The experts in Brazil work hard on this coffee. They take only the best of the three beans grown for Oberon. These are Mundo Novo, Catuaí and Bourbon, all Arabica coffee beans. Consequently we can offer you a delicious, medium-bodied South American humdinger. This is a wonderful example of how blending beans can enhance the taste in your coffee cup. It makes for a consistently great drink.
Brief History of Oberon Coffee
What Oberon offers is expertly blended, consistent Brazilian coffee beans. They grow in Cerrado de Minas. a region in south-west Minas Gerais, a state in south-east Brazil. Of course Brazil has a great coffee tradition. In fact Minas Gerais is the most important state in the country for growing coffee. As a result we currently have two offerings from there. Try our classic Rain Forest Alliance certified coffee Santos.for a nice contrast. Both offer delicious freshly roasted coffee beans.
Cerrado sits 900 to 1250 masl. It is home to approximately 3,600 coffee producers farming about 140,000 hectares of coffee production land. Naturally the majority of these farmers are organised into large cooperatives. Importantly, this allows the contributors to Oberon coffee to change seamlessly each year. as necessary. As a result the focus can always be on an absolutely consistent cup profile. According to the Oberon experts “We encourage the producers to trace their best coffees to particular lots, so we can trace not only to the farm but to the specific location on the farm”. This emphasis on consistency is ,we believe, the secret to Oberon’s great popularity. So, if you are looking for expertly blended Brazilian coffee, why not try this lovely cup for yourself? After all, the Brazilians recommend it.
